Mushrooms in Sauce with Serrano Ham

Mushrooms offer endless possibilities when it comes to preparing different recipes. In this one we give it the Spanish touch with the delicious Serrano ham and a good olive oil (if you have extra virgin olive oil it would be perfect). In addition, the special touch is also given by a very easy to make sauce, for which you surely have all the necessary ingredients in your kitchen. Only with olive oil, ground pepper and garlic powder we obtain totally different and delicious mushrooms. You need to try this mushrooms in sauce with Serrano ham recipe! Shall we start?

Ingredients:

  • Mushrooms (12)
  • Olive oil
  • Diced Serrano ham (little cubes)
  • Ground pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Parsley
  • Salt

How to Make the Mushrooms in Sauce with Serrano Ham:

  1. Remove the mushroom stems and widen the resulting hole a little (it is the gap to be filled later) with a knife. Be careful with this step, because the mushrooms can break.

  2. Wash the mushrooms very well with water.
  3. Prepare the sauce: put three fingers of olive oil, ground pepper, garlic powder and parsley in a glass. Mix well.
  4. Put a frying pan on high heat with the mushrooms placed in such a way that the hole that will be filled later is facing down; in contact with the surface of the frying pan.
  5. Cook the mushrooms in this position until the sides start to brown (5-6 minutes).
  6. Turn off the heat and turn the mushrooms over to fill them.
  7. First add a pinch of salt to each mushroom, then the diced Serrano ham and a good spoonful of the sauce we have prepared.
  8. Put the frying pan on high heat again, not as high as before, and wait for the part of the mushrooms that had not touched the pan before to brown.
  9. Remove the mushrooms from the fire, serve and enjoy!
