Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe

Today we are going to make a recipe with one of the most popular and frequently used ingredients in the kitchen: mushrooms. The stuffed mushrooms recipe is easy and offers many possibilities, as any kind of ingredients can be included in the mixture. This preparation can be used both as a main dish and as a snack. Shall we start?


  • 300 g minced beef
  • 16 big fresh mushrooms
  • Half a green pepper
  • Half a red pepper
  • Onion (1)
  • Small ripe tomato (1)
  • Garlic clove (1)
  • Ground pepper
  • Ground nutmeg
  • Cheese of your choice
  • Chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • Salt
  • Extra virgin olive oil

How to Make It:

  1. The first thing you have to do is to carefully remove the stems from the mushrooms and clean them with the help of a damp cloth.
  2. Chop the peppers, onion and garlic as thinly as possible. In a frying pan, include a good dash of oil and let it fry for about 10 minutes.
  3. When the onion is almost transparent, add the stems of the mushrooms (previously very chopped). Mix all the ingredients and then add the peeled and chopped tomato.
  4. Let the food mix well and then add the minced meat with salt, pepper, egg and a bit of nutmeg.
  5. When the meat juice has been consumed, remove from the heat. Put the mixture in the mushrooms on a baking tray. When they are all stuffed, preheat the oven to 200ºC and leave them for about 10 minutes with only the bottom part warm.
  6. After this time, open the oven, pour the selected cheese over the mushrooms (Ibores cheese is a good option) and grill for 5 minutes in the hot oven, both on top and underneath.

Optional: If you want, you can sprinkle a little paprika… It will give it a unique touch.
