Recipes with a Simple Can of Piquillo Peppers

We continue our saga on simple canned food recipes! Today it is time to use that can of Piquillo peppers.  Yes, yes… that can that you promised yourself you would use before it expires (see how difficult it is to actually do this) and you never opened it. It is time to prepare recipes with this delicious delicacy. With just a can of Piquillo peppers, you can make a simple and rich lunch or dinner. You can make meals so that you will not have to ask, “what can I eat today?”

Piquillo Peppers stuffed with Tuna

  • Piquillo peppers (1 can), tuna (1 can), tomato sauce (4 tablespoons), egg (1, cooked), wine vinegar, oil, salt and parsley

Who does not also have a few cans of tuna at home? This recipe is simple and very tasty. In a bowl, add the tomato and two piquillo peppers and blend them with the mixer. Pour the drained tuna and the previously chopped egg into the mixed sauce. Season it with whatever you prefer. This will be our filling.

It is time to fill the rest of the peppers. We will do it with a spoon. Stuff the peppers and then pour oil, vinegar, parsley and salt on top. They are ready to be eaten!

Soft Piquillo Pepper Pâté

  • Piquillo peppers (1 can), cheese triangles (8), margarine (1 tablespoon)

We can eat toast with this recipe today! It is also a good recipe to serve as an appetizer. We put the juicy Piquillo peppers into the frying pan and let them cook a little bit. Add the cheese triangles until you see they are completely melted. When we finish, we pour the margarine into the mixer and blend it all together. We let it cool down in the fridge.

Piquillo Peppers Sauce

  • Piquillo peppers (2 cans), tomato sauce (1 pot), garlic (4 teeth), dried tomatoes (4), olive oil, oregano, salt

This sauce is perfect to make with pasta, as it will delight you with new flavors. Let’s get started! Pour a drizzle of oil in a frying pan and brown the garlic. Hydrate the tomatoes in a bowl of hot water for half an hour. Next, it is time to beat. Pour all the ingredients into the mixer except the oregano, which will be poured in a frying pan together with the final sauce mixture. If you are going to eat this sauce with pasta, boil it with the sauce for a few minutes. You can also add grated cheese to the recipe.
