The gastronomy of Calogne is a perfect mix between the cuisine from the region of the Bajó Ampurdán. The location of the village, close to the sea and the interior vegetable gardens, allows the existence of a cuisine that mixes products from the sea and fruits (such as the Apple from Girona, a product with I.G.P.) and local vegetables, apart from meat from the regional ranching. Rice with meat and fish, hunt stews, seafood, fish and other local specialties make a traditional and varied cuisine.
During the year there are many gastronomic events that have products such as shrimps, scampi and the olla de peix as the protagonists. Also, Calogne is a place with a strong wine tradition. There are many different wineries that produce wine with D.O. Empordà and during the month of November the celebration of the Fiesta del Vino takes place, a moment when the appearance of the young stews is celebrated, apart from bringing the visitors the opportunity of enjoying local products, such as the wine with the D.O. Cataluña.
