Calatañazor is a picturesque, historical and artistic site located in the Valley of Blood, where the great Muslim leader Almanzor suffered a mythical defeat that changed the history of the Reconquest.
The must-sees of Calatañazor are the Romanesque Hermitage of the Soledad and the Tower of Homenaje.

First of all, we would like to recommend the casa rural de la Villa, a rural house located in a mountain environment. It is a rustic accommodation with 300-year-old gardens. The building maintain the original façade and walls. The rooms have spectacular views. They are decorated in pastel tones and they have stone walls. The owners are very kind and they prepare lunches and dinners for their guests.
El Mirador de Almanzor is an old XV century house. All the rooms have beautiful views on the castle and on the valley. The beds are comfortable, there are stone walls and wooden beams in the roof. The breakfast is excellent, plentiful and varied.
And last, but not least, the Casa del Cura de Calatañazor, a rural hotel with chic rooms and a very good restaurant that serves homemade dishes “al estilo montañés”. You can have lunch on the terrace with beautiful views on the canyon. A cot is available to clients on request.
Rioseco de Soria is one of the closest villages to Calatañazor. Here you will find the Hotel Quintanares, a stone building with 4 rooms. They have board games and multimedia services in the hall. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very kind.
