The capital of the province of Vizcaya is located in the valley of the Nervión and Ibaizábal rivers, and it is divided by the Bilbao estuary in two sides, the right one and the left one. In the right side we found the Old Town, an area with pintxos bars, markets and shops. In this city there is no place where you are and you do not have anything to do or to visit, historically the Arriaga theater or the Bilbao City Council are essential. Our first option to sleep in Bilbao right side is staying in the Hotel Barceló Bilbao Nervión. This hotel is located in the heart of Bilbao Old Town next to all the pintxos bars, 5 minutes away from the shops and from the other side and 10 minutes away from the Guggenheim Museum. Another good hotel is the Sercotel Gran Bilbao. This hotel is located 10 minutes away from the Bilbao Cathedral in the Las Siete Calles neighbourhood. It is a brandly new hotel with a modern style and enormous windows that bring great luminosity to the rooms. The modern dining room and conference rooms enable the hotel for guests visiting the area with commercial reasons, as it still contains all the features for a family holiday or a couple. They offer breakfast for coeliacs and allow late check out.
The four stars Hotel Occidental is located a bit farther from the Old Town, however it is located next to other points of interest in Bilbao such as the basilica of Begoña, or 15 minutes away from the Etxebarría park.
