Sleep in Salamanca

Salamanca, also known as “Muy noble, Muy Leal, Muy culta, Docta y Sabia”, is washed by the Tormes river. It has the oldest university of Spain. The famous Baroque Plaza Mayor was built by Churriguera and it’s the heart of the city. The main artistic attractions of the city are the Casa de las Conchas and the two cathedrals (the Old one and the New one). Salamanca is also the place where lazarillo de Tormes lived his adventures.

One of the best accommodations in Salamanca is the Hotel Hospes Palacio de San Esteban. It’s located in the historical center of the city, near the Convento de San Esteban, a perfect mix of tradition and modernity. It has 51 rooms, with a chic decoration that combines perfectly the roof beams with the others details of the rooms. All of them have a beautiful view on the two cathedrals, on the Patio de los Olivos or on the Romanesque cloister of the convent.

The Grand Hotel San Gregorio is a 15th century mansion, recently restored. It’s a luxury hotel with 17 rooms, from double rooms to suites with a lounge. Every room has the name of one of the members of the family. All the rooms have a Jacuzzi and spa services are used privately. They usually offer you a glass of cava and chocolate at your arrival at the hotel.

The Hotel Puente Romano de Salamanca is a stone building located near the Roman Bridge, with 35 exterior rooms with a balcony and a terrace. Some room has a lounge area, that is perfect if you travel with your family or if you travel for work.
