Ingredients:

  • 1 large rabbit chopped
  • 500 gr of onion
  • 8 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup of white wine
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon aromatic herbs
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Chopped parsley
  • Salt

How to Make Rabbit with White Wine:

  1. In a saucepan, start to heat the oil. When it’s warm, we pour in the onion. We’ll let it cook over medium heat.
  2. Once it’s transparent, we throw in the rabbit chunks. After about 10 minutes, they will start to brown.
  3. When browned, sprinkle a teaspoon of flour, stir and add in the white wine, water, bay leaves and aromatic herbs.
  4. Close the pan and let cook over low heat for about 45 minutes.
  5. Afterwards, the rabbit must be tender, so we will leave it for a few more minutes and then remove it.
  6. When serving, sprinkle a little parsley and sauce over it.

Our advice: If you can get wild rabbits, they are tastier than farm-bred. So it’s a better choice for this recipe.
