9 tablespoons of sugar
9 tablespoons of milk
100 g of butter
1 sachet of baking powder (Royal)
Apricot or peach jam
How to Make the Apple Tart Recipe:
To prepare this apple tart peel and chop 4 apples. Set aside another two to decorate the dessert.
Cook the lemon juice with the apples, covered, for about 5 minutes. If there is a lack of liquid, add a little water. Then remove and leave to cool (it should look like a puree).
Separate the yolks from the whites. Put the yolks in another bowl, add the sugar, milk and butter. Beat well.
Add the flour and the baking powder sifted with a sieve to the bowl. Add the cooked apples after removing any liquid.
Beat the egg whites until stiff and add to the mixture very slowly.
Peel the other two apples, cut them in half and slice them. They should not be too thin or too thick.
Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
Grease the baking tin, preferably round, with butter and sprinkle it with flour so that the cake does not stick.
Add the mixture and place the apple slices from the outside to the inside of the apple tart, covering the entire surface well.
Bake for about 40 to 45 minutes (depending on the oven). Prick the cake with a toothpick to see if it is done.
Remove the apple tart from the oven and wait for it to cool. Remove the baking tin and paint it with the jam to make it shiny.
