Sleep in Toro

One of the most deciding battles in the history of Castile took place in the Toro meadow, which you can see from the impressive Colegiata. This village has many Mudejar and Renaissance monuments, such as the Medieval Bridge or the Convent of the Discalced Carmelites. Toro has many traditions, like its carnival and its good wine, that you have to taste in one of its many bars.

If you plan to stay in Toro, here are our suggestions.

One of the most central places to stay in Toro are the Apartamentos Albero, three fairly new apartments with a simple decoration. They are located near the main square of the village and the rooms are very clean. There is a free parking lot.

The Hotel Juan II is a good option. It’s a standard hotel, located in the historical center of Toro, with everything you need.  The rooms are simple and a bit dark. The mattresses are not very comfortable. There is a pool and beauty services.

You can also stay at the Palacio Rejadorada, an old refurbished palace that maintains its original design. The period rooms are very spacious, with high walls and adapted to current needs. The breakfast and meals are excellent.

If you’re are looking for an accommodation outside of Toro to get to know the area, we recommend you the Valdusenda Hotel Resort & Spa, in Peleagonzalo. It’s a 5 star hotel with a spa, a whirlpool bath and thermal pools. There is a wine cellar and vineyards, and they usually offer you wine when you arrive at the hotel. The decoration and the rooms are minimalist and their guests love it.
